Conceptual Branding

Conceptual Branding is the building brand in it's conceptual market.   The market's concept could be on the adults market for example.

Jack Daniels

Jack Daniels is conceptual branding to the adults market.  Jack Daniel's is whisky, for the adults market.  Which the brand jack Daniel's has also brought out other products such as apparel, key rings, mugs etc.

Jack-Daniels-Drinks

Now looking at childrens branding the teletubbies which is a childrens tv program.  The teletubbies from originally being a tv program.  Has expanded further and started making gifts.  Such as things children would use.  Such as school gifts the like pencils cases etc.  Down to home items such as bedcover etc and toys.

Branding yourself as an artist!!!

Most artists brand them self in ways.  Such as from name.  For example my self branding is down as "Mike Louden".   Which I brand everything of my work under that name.  For my brand so far I have out and on sale, my own illustrated comic, mike louden by mike louden.  And a t-shirt which i wish to expand my business further.

The Facebook Page for my brand....

My self branded comic

My business card

Conclusion

Research on conceptual branding shows.  Different products which can be made from a brand of things all different ranges.  Which can all be taken into my illustration.  Like shown above the start to my brand.

Working for clients and agents

A client somebody gives you work to do.  But it's self directed on what you get and in your own contact.  Were as an agent is somebody who finds work for you but mostly, takes a percentage of the profit.

Examples of agencies.

A few good agencies there.  By looking at them agencies that shows me.  Things that agencies do, such as employ a range of illustrators.  Sell your work for you via there shop.

Communication and Commission

What a communication and commission.  Communication and Commission is where you are hired and payed to do a piece of work.  The work could be commissioned for commercial use.  Such as some kind of commercial publishing such as in a magazine book etc.

An example of a recent commission I done.

A portrait which i was requested to do.

This request was by a student going on the relections for student president.  The portrait I was requested was for a advertisement poster to get people to vote.  Communication was from social networking sites.  For this commission.

Another commission i've had

Who buy? CarpHeadBanger
What did i get commissioned to?  An illustration for carp angling hoodies
Deadline i was given? I wasn't given a deadline
Where did i get the commission? Twitter

The entry's for the commission.  I first sent to the client.  My first 2 illustrations which were the 2 shown below and then the client sent me

The final one....

Communicating with clients:-

When you are communicating with clients it's important you communicate effectively.  When you have the meeting for the commission it is important you make note and ask the appropriate questions.
And make sure your aware about everything for the commission.

Ways to communicate

Communicating with clients is mostly done via.  Digital network, such as, social networks sites, emails, skype or over the phone.  Which is on the network of communication all around the world. Which expands on commissions from clients further away.
